Health Services Outreach & Assistance
The STDC is a designated Community Based Organization (CBO) under the
Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and provides outreach and
application assistance to residents of Webb, Jim Hogg, and Zapata Counties.
The CBO focuses on educating community members on the various Health
Programs available through HHSC such as: Temporary Assistance for Needy
Families (TANF); Food Stamps; Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP);
Children’s Medicaid; CHIP Prenatal; Women’s Health Program; Pregnant
Women’s Medicaid; and Elderly and Disabled Long Term Care. STDC has
also partners with Jim Hogg and Zapata Counties to provide outreach and
assistance through both counties.
